Dry hair cutting - A totally new approach to hair design and a first for Richmond.

The first totally-dedicated dry hair-cutting studio opened its doors for the first time in Richmond, Surrey in 2004.

Tony Ulatowski, who has enjoyed a successful and extensive 26-year career in hairdressing, is the inspiration behind this exciting new hair studio, called 36 Union Court.

"In dry-hair cutting, the hair artist is freed from the conventions of wet hair cutting, and is encouraged to be more spontaneous. The revolutionary dry sculpting technique is so precise that you will not need your hair cut for two to three months, plus the hair will grow out in the style that it was shaped," says Tony.
"Both the client and the stylist can instantly see the results as the hair is being sculptured, making it easy to achieve the look the client wants."

Tony's inspiration came following a visit to the United States to meet the founder of the dry technique, John Sahag, the world-renowned New York hair sculptor who has worked with many of the rich and famous, including Brad Pitt, Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Isabella Rosselini, Jennifer Aniston, Jon Bon Jovi, Melanie Griffith and Winona Rider, to name but a few.

This site is intended to explain more about our techniques and to provide a point of contact with Tony.
